Baluran National Park Situbondo – Location and Natural Charm

Baluran Situbondo National Park - Location and Natural Charm

Indonesia is known for its myriad of stunning natural wonders. Some of Indonesia's landscapes even resemble the African savannah. Baluran National Park in Banyuwangi, a place that makes you feel like you're in the African savannah, is one example. Therefore, you don't need to travel all the way to Africa to experience its beauty. This tourist spot is perfect for nature lovers, especially those who love the outdoors. Baluran National Park is already popular among tourists for its exotic natural scenery. The arid nature of the land makes the atmosphere even more reminiscent of the Black Continent. Baluran National Park Location: Baluran National Park (TNB) is located in Wonorejo Village, Banyuputih District, Situbondo Regency. However, most people know Baluran Tourism Park as being located in Banyuwangi Regency. This is because Baluran National Park is located on the Banyuwangi-Situbondo border, closer to Banyuwangi Regency. Baluran National Park covers approximately 25,000 hectares and boasts several forest, animal, and plant species. 40% of its area is savannah vegetation. Baluran is even referred to as a miniature Indonesian forest, as it contains nearly all forest types in Indonesia. It includes savannah vegetation, coastal forests, mangrove forests, seasonal forests, lower mountain forests, and evergreen forests, creating a beautiful and refreshing landscape. The Charm of Baluran National Park At Baluran National Park, visitors can enjoy a variety of attractions with extraordinary charm. Among them are the following: Bekol Savanna. The presence of Bekol Savanna is one of the reasons Baluran National Park is called the Africa of Java. This vast savanna stretches and has a landscape very similar to Africa, even the scorching heat here makes us feel like we are in Africa. Evergreen Forest The Evergreen Forest is a fresh green with very cool air. The scenery is also different from the Bekol Savanna. There's an abundance of lush greenery. The roads are lined with a variety of beautiful plants on either side. Bilik and Sajile Beaches: In the northern part of Baluran National Park, you can enjoy the natural charm of the beautiful Bilik and Sejile beaches. The sand is pure white, stretching out in a long line. The beaches are clean and pollution-free, making visitors want to linger and enjoy the clear seawater. The waves are calm, allowing for snorkeling along the shore. You can also enjoy the coral reefs when the tide is low. Bama Beach: Baluran Tourism Park also boasts a beautiful beach called Bama Beach, which boasts a beautiful mangrove forest. This beach is home to various bird and animal species in Baluran National Park. One of these is the gray macaque. You can sometimes spot these animals on the journey from Situbondo to Banyuwangi. The beach boasts stunning views, with stunning sunsets. Furthermore, the underwater scenery is quite stunning. You can also snorkel here to see the coral and beautiful fish.
